Butternut Stew Bredie, A stew called a ‘bredie’ in Afrikaans consisting of butternut, onions, and meat of your choice
Ingredients
- 2 large onions
- Meat
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp crushed chilies
- Water
- Meat
- Sugar
Method
- Fry onions until browned, add your meat, salt, crushed chilies, add a little water and cook until the meat is almost soft.
- Add the butternut and cook until soft.
- Lastly, add a little sugar to sweeten.
- Serve with rice.
