Description

Bring a touch of elegance and sophistication to your next gathering with our Cashew Date and Wine Balls. Perfectly sweet, nutty, and infused with a hint of fine wine, they’re the ultimate treat for your taste buds!
If you’re a fan of delicious and unique flavors, don’t hesitate to give them a try

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups unsalted cashews
  • 1/2 cup Steel cut oat blend
  • 16 Soft Tunisian dates
  • 3 tbsp Dutch Dark Cocoa
  • 4 tbsp Sweet Shiraz (Red wine)

Instructions

  1. Drop the cashews and oats in a food processor.
  2. Plonk the dates through the shoot, one by one, and continue blending.
  3. As you blend, add the cacao powder.
  4. As I found the mixture a bit on the dry side, I decided to be different (as I usually do with any recipe I test) and added the sweet shiraz, 1 tbsp at a time, as it was sitting on the tabletop next to the blender.
  5. It just gave me that little extra bit of moisture and it’s perfect.
  6. Take the mixture out of the blender, and should you end up with some ingredients, not properly incorporated, just kneed it with your fingers, and voila, you have a nice sticky mixture coming together in one big lump.
  7. I used a 12.5ml measuring spoon (slightly heaped) to scoop up the mixture and then rolled it in the palm of my hands and formed the balls.
  8. Place the balls on a baking tray, and then pop them in the fridge until the balls are set and hardened.
  9. You will get approximately 27 Homemade Cashew Date and Wine Balls of ± 12.5ml size ready to munch on.
  10. Without a doubt, I had to test one, but must admit, I ended up testing more than just one. I will not say how many ….
