My mum used to make lots of chutneys Red Tomato, Green tomato, Rhubarb but never Beetroot the only beetroot we ever had been pickled.

Quince looks like a cross between an apple and a pear, and because the fruit’s flesh is tart, its delicious when simmered until very tender with a little sugar and a vanilla bean. Once puréed, the rose-colored mixture is reminiscent of an elegant applesauce. (more…)
This can be used as a marinate or sauce for grilled meat/veggies. Tonight I served it as a dressing for raw courgette spaghetti, as a sauce for pasta and as a dipping sauce for red peppers, pita bread and pineapple. (more…)
