Description
Some like it plain, some go all out, what’s your style?
Classic bread pudding is perfect on its own, but let’s be real, sometimes it needs a little extra. Are you Team Raisins, Team Chocolate Chips, or Team Dump It All In?

Scale
- 3 slices of old bread, torn into chunks (stale is perfect!)
- 2 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
- 1 cup milk (whole milk makes it extra rich)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon (or more if you’re feeling fancy)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Grease a small casserole dish, no one likes a pudding that won’t come out.
- Toss the torn-up bread into the dish.
- Whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, cinnamon, and vanilla in a bowl.
- Pour that mixture over the bread, making sure every piece gets nice and soaked. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, trust me, this makes it extra soft and custardy.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden and a little crisp.
- Cool slightly (because no one wants a burnt tongue), then dig in!
- It’s amazing with custard, whipped cream, or just straight from the dish.
