Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
5 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup almond milk (regular milk will also work)
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
150g sliced and then chopped into smaller pieces of biltong (Jerky)
Method:
Mix the first 3 ingredients listed.
Add milk, oil and egg together, and mix into the dry mixture.
Lastly, add the cheese and biltong/jerky into the mixture.
Dough is firm enough to work by hand.
Preheat oven to 200C/400F.
I used a regular size 12 well muffin pan.
Oil your hands slightly, then form 12 equal size balls and place in well greased muffin pan and bake for ±20 minutes until light golden brown on top or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
Serve warm out the oven with fresh butter and a cup of steaming coffee. <3
