Ingredients:
500g (2.5 cups) Sugar
112g unsalted butter
397 g (1 can) can condensed milk
5 ml (1tsp) vanilla essence
Method:
Place all the ingredients except the vanilla essence in a heat-resistant bowl (it should be large enough to prevent the mixture from boiling over).
Microwave on full power for 4 minutes, remove from oven and stir well until sugar has melted (important step – do not skip or skimp!)
Microwave on full power for 8 minutes, remove from oven, add vanilla essence and beat for a few seconds with a wooden spoon until thick and creamy (adjust the times according to your oven – look at the color. Should be the color of fudge.
If to light microwave more. Do not let it get to dark as well!)
Pour into a greased or parchment lined square dish and allow to cool slightly before cutting or breaking into bite size pieces.
I made this for somebody with an extremely sweet tooth, and combined all his favorites here:
1. Fudge
2. Condensed milk
3. White chocolate
Melt 85g white chocolate on low ±2 minutes, then stir, and add an additional 30 seconds at a time as needed. Stir till fully melted and add on the fudge. Wait till all hard and set and then break into pieces.
