TRH Colleen's Fish Frikkadel


  • 1 tin Saldanha fish in chili sauce..drain the sauce
  • 1 grated onion, squeeze out the juice
  • 2c ups fresh bread crumbs/5 slices bread pre-soaked
  • 1 egg
  • Fresh parsley
  • Salt to taste


  1. In a bowl add your fish without the sauce & remove the small bones
  2. Add the egg, parsley, bread crumbs/bread & grated onion
  3. Add salt to taste & mix well to combine
  4. If the mixture is still very thin add more breadcrumbs until you get a nice solid frikkadel
  5. Fry in shallow oil until nice & brown
  6. Serve with mash & stewed tomato
