1 x 400 g pkt Today’s Puff Pastry or any other shop bought brand
** 6 small red apples cored and peeled cut into slices
1/4 cup raisins
1 tbsp butter
Pinch of cloves
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp brown sugar **
1 lightly beaten egg for glazing
1 tbsp white sugar
In a saucepan add ingredients from ** to ** boil lightly for 7 mins until apples start to soften. Drain of any liquid and allow to cool.
Preheat oven to 180 C grease an oven baking tray.
Roll pastry into a rectangle.
Place cooled apple filling down the centre of pastry.
Now cut the sides to the left and right of the pastry spaced about
5 cm apart. Plait the pastry from left to right tucking in the top and bottom. Egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 30 to 35 mins until golden brown. Serve with whipped cream.
