For sandwiches, toast and french toast you just cant beat a classic sandwich loaf because home bake is always fresh

Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cold water to 2/3 cup hot water
4 tbsp melted butter or shortening
2 tbsp sugar
1&1/4 tsp of salt
1 packet dry yeast

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and stir till the dough starts to leave the sides of the bowl.
Transfer the dough to a lightly grease surface , oil your hands and knead up to 6 to 8 minutes or until it begins to become smooth . Transfer the dough onto greased bowl and cover with clingfilm allow the dough to rise till fluffy though not necessarily double in size about 1 to 2 hours depending on the warmth of your kitchen .
Shaping: transfer the dough to a lightly oiled surface shape it into 8″ log , place the log in lightly greased loaf pan allow to rise about 60 minutes until it becomes 1″ above the edge of the pan a finger press of the dough should leave marks the rebounds slowly .
Baking: bake the bread in preheated oven 180C for 30 to 35 minutes until its light and golden brown. Test your bread by removing it from the pan and thumping at the bottom (it should sound hallow).
