Have you met Anindya?  If not, please enjoy this Interview with Anindya from “My Daily Journal” As per his blog: Here are some thoughts, some likes, some experiences, some emotions, some memories from his world.

All about your BLOG:

Tell us about you lovely BLOG.

  1. What is the name of your blog and how did you decide on your blog name?

My blog name is Mydailyjournalonline. Initially, in my blogging journey, I had started a music blog with a specific name containing Music in it. Later I realized that it is becoming difficult for me to write on varied topics that I want to write about, being it a music blog in particular. That’s why I decided to rename the blog and shift it to self-hosting since I wanted the blog to be my daily journal where I can write on virtually anything that comes to my mind without any restrictions.

  1. What prompted you to start on this blogging journey?

I always wanted to write. Even though I have not taken any professional teachings or guidance in writing, but I just wanted to put my thoughts and experiences on paper and share them with the rest of the world. I wanted everyone to talk to me and in turn me talking to them through my writings. And that’s how the blogging became a natural remedy of sorts.

  1. To date, what blogging achievement/s are you most proud of?

I am not much into awards or recognition, even though I have been nominated a few times. I have been featured on Shelley Wilson’s blog, which can be found here https://mydailyjournalonline.com/featured-shelley-wilsons-blog-motivate/. But the most achievement I am proud of is to get a wonderful network of blogger friends in the last couple of years who have stood by me and encouraged and supported me all through in my journey. Also, I have had the privilege of hosting several amazing bloggers, both experienced and new as Guest authors in my blog which I continue to do.

  1. How would you describe your own blogging style?

My blogging style is a very personal style in nature. It doesn’t follow any set or laid down guidelines or principles. I write in a communicative mode to my readers, using suitable images from time to time, illustrations too. My style is simple, easy to follow and understand, so you may say 😊

  1. What excites you most about blogging?

The very thought of writing my next piece, and the communication I am expecting from my readers, is what excites me most.

  1. What platform do you use and why?

I use WordPress. Because it is simple and easy to use. It offers the most versatile range of customizations in almost every department of blogging. And it is also what the majority of the blogging world is on.

  1. What genre/topic/theme do you blog about? Do you ever deviate from that theme?

I don’t follow any particular genre/topic or theme since my blog is personal in nature. Readers will find a variety of topics on my blog including music, movies and book reviews. Everything I write here is on whatever I see, hear, feel in my daily life which affects me.

  1. How often do you blog per week or month?

I try to do a post weekly, but sometimes I hit the bloggers’ block and can be in my own mood for days, even weeks, till the time I get my mojo back.

  1. Do you have any wisdom or tip/s regarding blogging to share with us?

Be authenticate, be creative, be kind, be appreciative, be supportive, be friendly, be forgiving and keep on writing and creating, keep reaching out to the world, that’s the best way 😊 for all other technical tips, you can refer to Pinterest 😊

  1. Do you participate in linkup parties? How do you feel about it?

I participate in linkup parties very rarely, maybe I don’t get invited to many of them 😊 but linkup parties are good, in a way to mingle with the crowd and get to know people

All about YOU:

Tell us something about you, the real YOU.

  1. What do you like to do other than blogging?

I love everything connected with music excluding performing myself, though I can sing a fair bit, love watching movies, an avid reader of books, love making new friends, love playing Table Tennis which is my favorite sport I do, and also I love traveling to mountains and seaside.

  1. Where do you reside?

In a beautiful city called Calcutta in the eastern part of India.

  1. Are you an indoor or outdoor person?

I am a bit of both. I love cozy times with my books, music, and movies, and also with like-minded folks if I get any. I love going outdoors too, though get very short and rare times out of our busy schedules of daily life, yet I try to be out of the house very often, and I also love playing Table Tennis which keeps me physically and mentally fit 😊

  1. Do you still work, and if so, what is your trade/profession?

Yes, I still work. I had been a banker for a long time, now I have shifted to the Insurance industry, so it’s all numbers, deadlines, and targets. Blogging and my friends keep me sane 😊

  1. Or are you retired? If so, what do you do besides blogging?

In my mid-40s, I am hardly close to retiring, still, a long way to go.

  1. Do you wish to be 20-something or the age you are now and why?

’18 till I die by Bryan Adams, that’s what I am and will always be, one of my favorite songs too.

  1. What makes your day a good and happy one?

Some sudden happy and welcoming messages from people I love, some new discovery of amazing artists and their music, a surprise new meetup with someone new, some really good movie, and blogging.

  1. Describe yourself in 3 words.

Soft-spoken, serious, loving.

  1. Share with us 3 interesting facts about yourself.

Wow, that’s a tough one!!

No one can guess my age by looking at me.

I become completely silent for days on the event of me getting very upset, angry or terribly hurt, rather than blasting or bursting out.

I am very passionate about everything that I love, and when I say about everything, I hope you know what I mean 😊

  1. Do you have any other tidbits to share with us about yourself?

I don’t know whether I should be saying this. I am not a womanizer, but it’s women I love very much, and I do respect them very much. From school till now, the bulk of my best friends and acquaintances have been of the fairer sex, the majority of the most talented colleagues I have worked with in my career till now have always been women, and I have a lovely group of blogger friends from the fairer sex who are multi-talented.

I love good food, anything that tastes really good.

I love dressing up, and I do love the good smell, deodorants, perfumes, aftershaves.

  1. Anindya is as interesting as I thought. His gentle manner is apparent in your clever questions. I think a virtual Karaoke post may be in order before too long. You can’t say you sing a bit and leave *wags finger* Good job Esme from Canada to Calcutta who would have thought.
