Hope you have time to meet Erika from Erika Kind and enjoy the interview with Erika Kind from “Erika Kind”

All about your BLOG: Tell us about your lovely BLOG.

What is the name of your blog and how did you decide on your blog name?

The name of my blog is my own name “Erika Kind”. The name was actually chosen by my publisher. I haven’t been on any social media platform before I published the English version of my book “I’m Free”. For a social media campaign, they set up everything for me, introduced me to blogging, and gave me weekly lessons. I am glad they chose my real name because I want people to know who is the one writing here.

What prompted you to start on this blogging journey?

As I mentioned above, it was the promotion of my book “I’m Free – Awareness of Who You Are by Discovering Who You are Not!”. To be honest, when my publisher taught me about this “website” I wasn’t aware that this is a blog. I figured out later during the teaching lessons. I had no idea at all what blogging was about. But once I figured what a wonderful tool it is to bring the word out, it became my new passion.

To date, what blogging achievement/s are you most proud of?

I would rather substitute the word “proud” for “thankful”. At this point, I need to explain what I want to achieve with my blog. It is my intention to inspire and encourage people to consider themselves as a powerful creation which came here to express itself in its unique and shining way. That’s the reason why I am thankful for every follower. I treasure every comment. And the most wonderful moments always are when someone says that what they read was exactly what they needed to read at that moment. To nail it down: What I want to achieve is to inspire others for discovering the miracle they are and finding their own personal way to change their lives for the better.

How would you describe your own blogging style?

I was a little confused about that question. I never thought about the way I write or of using a certain style. I simply write what wants to be written. I think what makes my writing the way it is, is how I am feeling while writing.  The reason I blog is in order to inspire the reader to let their inner flame grow a bit higher. So, when I sit down for writing, for example, my Monday post I connect with my own flame and all that you read in my posts comes from there.

What excites you most about blogging?

The multi-cultural community and the interaction with each other. I learned so much about our wonderful world and the fantastic people everywhere. It amazes me to hear about foreign traditions, how people live in other places and still we all are gathering here on WordPress. To me, this is such a proof that we all can live the individual life we live and still be one world. There is no opposition but in fact, only together we make this world complete. Each one adds a color we would miss otherwise.

What platform do you use and why?

Due to my limited time on social media, it is my blog on WordPress. I also use Facebook and Twitter for promoting my posts. But I am neglecting them due to my limited time.

What genre/topic/theme do you blog about? Do you ever deviate from that theme?

My blog is about spirituality, self-development, and encouragement. That leaves so much room for topics and themes which I might never be able to cover. Also, I am developing too which gives “similar” topics a new perspective. But I also post about my own life at times. Where I live and about special moments in my life.

How often do you blog per week or month?

I used to blog a lot – several times a day. But over time I had to find ways to keep up with my 3D-life. For a couple years I am posting 5 days a week. Every Monday there comes a bigger article. Monday – Friday I am posting an inspiring quote and three days a week I am posting a song. I love music. I not only love to listen to it but I am a singer myself.

Do you have any wisdom or tip/s regarding blogging to share with us?

The most important thing and in my opinion actually the pulse of blogging is the interaction. Whether you want to gain followers or to connect and make friends you need to read other people’s posts and leave a comment which shows that you read the post. Never ever only leave a comment that says: “I followed you, please follow me back.”- or something similar. To be honest, I delete this immediately. Blogging is about connecting and not about collecting followers. Because whoever you follow also holds the silent obligation that you should also read their posts – at least in my opinion.

Do you participate in linkup parties? How do you feel about it?

No, I have never done that.

Interview with Erika Kind from “Erika Kind”

All about YOU: Tell us something about you, the real YOU.

What do you like to do other than blogging?

Of course, I like spending time with my children most. No matter what we do or where we are. Then there is nature. I love spending time outside during the warm season, doing a walk, or simply sitting on my balcony and working from there. I can literally feel how my batteries get charged and how the stress dissolves.

Where do you reside?

I live in the Principality of Liechtenstein, which is a little country in the Alps between Austria and Switzerland. But my nationality is Austria.

Are you an indoor or outdoor person?

As I just said, I love being outside and absorbing nature and its energies. But I have to admit that I am not a winter person. During the cold season, I am rather hiding behind the oven… lol

Do you still work, and if so, what is your trade/profession?

My most important “job” is being a mom of three. My kids are almost all grown up but they are still my kids and I am always there to support them and get things organized for them. Then there is my therapy practice which I am running for 10 years. I offer treatments like Aromatherapy, Spiritual Healing, Emmett-Therapy, Matrix-Transformation, and one-to-one talks.

Two years ago I also started working half-time at the reception desk of a business center. Meanwhile, I am part of the management and work in the actual business purpose as a compliance officer for asset managers.

Do you wish to be 20-something or the age you are now and why?

I would never want to go back in my age. Not even for a day. Yes, I would love to experience wonderful moments again but not because I was younger. Perhaps it is that way because I am simply feeling great and not at all like close to 50. The years did not go by just so. They all left something for me. My life is full of experiences and memories and there are so many more memories to create… I don’t have time to get old but I hope I live long in order to realize as many of my dreams as possible.

What makes your day a good and happy one?

When I made someone smile!

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Hopelessly romantic dreamer

Share with us 3 interesting facts about yourself.

  1. I am a professional singer.
  2. My pet is a tortoise which my mother once found on the street in front of our house. I have him for 34 years already.
  3. I have two left hands when it comes to knitting or sewing but I am good at painting, assembling furniture, driving with a trailer (also backwards), any garden work,…

Do you have any other tidbits to share with us about yourself?

When I do something then I do it 100%. Once I cut off a motorcycle on a freeway in California. I did not see it in the mirror when I changed lanes since I got lost and was busy finding out what my navigation system said. I only noticed that I cut it off when it turned on the blue and red lights… I accidentally cut off a police officer…
