Karen's Challah

The challah was too delicious!!
Ingredients:
WET
4 cups warm Water
1/4 cup sugar
3 packages active dry yeast
DRY
5 lb flour (14-15 cups)
2 Tablespoons salt
1 cup sugar
OIL and EGG
1 cup oil
4 eggs
Directions
Combine wet ingredients in a small bowl and mix GENTLY.
Leave to stand until it starts to foam and bubble.
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Mix eggs into oil in a small bowl and beat gently.
Add wet and oil to the dry ingredients.
Mix with spoon till a dough forms.
Turn into a floured surface and knead until incorporated.
Place in a large bowl and cover with a cloth.
Allow to rise for a couple hours.
Once risen punch down and divide dough four ways and braid the four challot.
Brush with egg wash.
Let rise for an hour.
Bake 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
