Layne’s Fish curry

TRH Layne's Fish curry

1 sliced onion
5 tomatoes pureed + 4 chillies pureed
1 sprig curry leaf
Tamarind pulp mixed with a little water and strain the seeds..keep aside
2 tsp Kashmiri mix masala
1 tsp garlic , fresh clove or cubed
Salt
Oil

Boil 3 eggs and peel and slice in halves.. Keep aside
Braise onion, curry leaves in hot oil
Add garlic and fry, add chilli powder and mix, then add tomatoes, or tomato paste, let it cook for +-5 mins
Add the tamarind water and let it cook
Add salt and then place your fish in the tamarind chutney and leave to simmer, garnish with boiled eggs and fresh dhania.

Remove scales and inner and cut off the fins, then rinse well, cut in pieces
Marinate with
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp tandoori masala
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 egg beaten
I marinated overnight
Fry in a little deep hot oil, once brown turn over
Remove from oil once cooked and place on paper towel to drain excess oil
You can add to fish curry or fish chutney or just eat with a sprinkle of lemon.
