500 ml cake flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 ml salt
70 ml butter or margarine
80 gr castor sugar
125 ml buttermilk
Sift dry ingredients all together add sugar.
Add butter and rub in until mixture resemble bread crumbs.
Whisk the egg and butter milk together and then add to dry ingredients to form a soft but not sticky dough.
Turn out onto a floured surface and even out.
Cut out your scones with cutter.
Brush top with a egg wash.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees C for 12 to 15 minutes
