Mince Fettucine

Mince Fettucine Tried Tested

400 g Lean Beef mince
2 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion diced
21/2 tsp minced garlic
2 small green chillis chopped ( optional )
1/2 diced green pepper
1/2 diced red pepper
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
21/2 tbsp tomato paste (purée )
1/4 cup Ina Paarman sweet chilli chutney or suitable alternative
2 medium tomatoes grated
1/4 cup grated mozarella or cheddar cheese
Salt, black pepper, 2 tsp dried origanum, 3 tsp paprika
1/2 packet Fettucine pasta cooked according to packaging. Drain and set aside in a serving bowl. Drizzle olive oil over

In a saucepan sauté onion, garlic, chilli, diced peppers until tender add mincemeat and brown the meat while breaking it up into small pieces. Add grated tomatoes, purée, chilli chutney and tomato ketchup and cook for 3 mins until all incorporated. Add all spices, add 1/4 cup of water and simmer slowly for 10 mins. Add grated cheese and stir through. Throw over your cooked pasta and garnish with parsley or freshly chopped coriander. Adding of extra chillis optional. Serves 3 people. Serve with a green salad.
Note: the meat sauce is a dry sauce and not like the usual bolognaise meat sauce that has more liquid
