  • 125ml sago soaked
  • 2 onions chopped
  • Chopped up quarter pepper
  • Garlic & ginger paste..1tsp
  • 3 cloves
  • 3 allspice
  • 3 peppercorns
  • 2 sticks cinnamon

Steak cut up into strips (amount depends on how much you use)
3 hard-boiled eggs
Salt & freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Put some olive oil in a pot, add a blob of butter
  2. Add your chopped up onions and the stick cinnamon, allspice, peppercorns, cloves
  3. Allow braising until brown
  4. Add your steak strips and garlic & ginger paste
  5. Cook until steak is tender, but do not overdo it
  6. Add the sago & little bits of water
  7. Stir well and add the salt and a log of fresh ground pepper – steak pepper pie
  8. Allow simmering on low heat until sago is transparent and little liquid left
  9. Allow to completely cool
  10. Take your dish or baking tin spray it
  11. Place 1 pastry on the bottom, put filling on, and grate the 3 boiled eggs overfilling
  12. Place 2nd pastry over and egg wash
  13. Bake @180 deg for 35-40mins until golden brown

P.S: Remove cloves & allspice & stick cinnamon before you add the filling
