Preshana's Gingerbread biscuits

Ingredients
75 grams of butter
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of golden syrup

1 eggs
1 3/4 .cups of cake flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Method
In a saucepan melt your butter with the golden syrup and brown sugar , stir for a minute and remove from heat and allow to cool
In a large bowl sift together all your dry ingredients, add egg and sugar mixture, mix well
Allow mixture to firm up 15-30 minutes in the fridge
Line baking tray with grease proof paper.
Flour surface roll out dough and cut shapes.
Spread out on baking tray as they expand
Bake in a preheated oven on 180’C for 12-15 minutes or until your biscuits are a nice brown color.
Remove and allow to cool . Biscuits with shrink slightly.
