Bio
I’m Amelia, a travel professional who got married and had kids and decided to go back to uni! So my blog is about exploring the passion I still have for travel while juggling home, kids, a very ambitious husband and my own dreams and ambitions as I work towards a new career. I feel like many people my age these days think that in order to see the world, they have to pack up and go for months or even years at a time. I could never do that as I love my life and my responsibilities, so I want to show women like me that it’s okay to want a home life, a family, and a successful career and still want to explore the world. And yes, that you can do both!

Bio I am an accidental blogger. I thought I was signing up for admin rights to a friend’s blog. After banging away at Wordpress thinking I was entering passwords that were NOT taking I ended up with a blog. Now I can’t imagine not blogging. I’m trying to live without regrets (or at least less). Blogging has helped me push my boundaries in various areas. It has made me more focused and challenged me to rethink things. Now when I am out in the world I think “is this a blog post?” Learning opportunity? I am open to exploring possibilities and my blog is a way to help me keep that front and center.

Bloggers Name – Anindya Rakshit
Blog Name – https://mydailyjournalonline.com/
Bio – I hail from a beautiful city called Calcutta in the eastern part of India. Born in the late 70’s.

An Ex-Banker, currently dabbling in the Insurance sector, here are a few things I love to do apart from blogging. I love everything connected with music excluding performing myself, though I can sing a fair bit, love watching movies, an avid reader of books, love making new friends, love playing Table Tennis which is my favorite sport I do, and also I love traveling to mountains and seaside. My blog name is Mydailyjournalonline. Initially, in my blogging journey, I had started a music blog with a specific name containing Music in it. Later I realized that it is becoming difficult for me to write on varied topics that I want to write about, being it a music blog in particular. That’s why I decided to rename the blog and shift it to self-hosting since I wanted the blog to be my daily journal where I can write on virtually anything that comes to my mind without any restrictions.

My blog is very personal in nature. It doesn’t follow any set or laid down guidelines or principles. I write in a communicative mode to my readers, using suitable images from time to time, illustrations too. My style is simple, easy to follow and understand, so you may say 😊

My first major back surgery was at 21, but I had continued working for many years, but this time it was not to be. I have a genetic connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and my condition has really deteriorated over the last few years, now affecting my nervous system and gut, and causes daily dislocations. My kids are all affected with my daughter being formerly diagnosed aged 14. So….facing yet another back operation for the chronic nerve pain in my back and leg, I decided to write a blog…..and have discovered a whole new world of friends and support.

Bloggers Name: Hello! My name is Dominique.
Blog Name: 3C Style
Bio: In my everyday life, I’m a French scientific journalist from Quebec, Canada. For the blog, I mostly write (both in English and French) about sustainable clothing, friendship, and creativity. I started blogging three years ago simply for fun. At 49, I felt I needed a new challenge in my life. I wanted to give myself a gift for my fiftieth birthday, which was to gather in one project my passions: science, nature, writing, and fashion. Hence my blog! It gives me a creative outlet to bring knowledge and facts about clothing and brands as well as styling tips. I was partly raised by my grandmother from my father’s side. Growing up during the first war she had learned to recycle everything. In my youth, I admit she was driving me nuts but later in my life, it had an impact on my consumption of things. Today, I try to buy my clothes wisely and they have to be made by sustainable brands. I feel the need to tell people that when I suggest ways to wear a piece of clothing it’s from my own experience and love for styling, certainly not because I know best. I prefer quality over quantity… In everything! I am an art and nature addict and a tea lover.

Blog Name Joanne D. Gilbert
Bio A resident of Las Vegas since 2004, Award-winning author, and popular public-speaker, Joanne D. Gilbert, grew up in Oak Park, Michigan—a predominantly Jewish suburb of Detroit, where many Holocaust Survivors had settled. Knowing them well, and hearing about their experiences made a profound impact on Joanne’s life. Her most profound influence, however, was her beloved Grand-mother, Millie Wineman Ron, who had been able to get out of Vilna, Lithuania before the Germans came. Except for Millie’s 2 brothers, the rest of her large family were murdered by the Germans — along with most of Lithuania’s Jewish people.

Throughout her life, Joanne was haunted by two questions:
1. Did the Jews fight the Nazis?
2. Did Gentiles help their Jewish friends and neighbors? After a 40 year career in education, Joanne was finally able to search for answers to these questions. She traveled throughout Europe, Canada, and the US finding and meeting elderly women who, as teenagers, had successfully defied the Nazis. Her Award-Winning first book, “WOMEN OF VALOR: Polish Resisters to the Third Reich,” was published to outstanding reviews in 2014. She is currently working on 2 books: “WOMEN OF VALOR: German, French, and Dutch Resisters to the Third Reich,” and for Young Adults, “A Victory for Miriam.” Among her many speaking engagements in the US and Canada, Joanne was especially honored to be a speaker at the 2015 Krakow Jewish Cultural Festival, and she looks forward to being a presenter in Warsaw this August, at the International Association of Jewish Genealogy Societies Annual Convention.

Blog Name: Homegrown Valeros
Bio: Hello, my name is Jordan!
I am the creator and author of Homegrown Valeros. This is a space where I share the bits and pieces of my family’s adventures, celebrating parenthood, relationships, and the simple joys of life.

A little about my life: Marc and I met our freshman year in high school in our biology class, dated for four and a half years, took a break, and found our way back to each other a year later. Now, we are married and together have two beautiful children, Christopher and AnnaLynne. Marc is currently in the National Guard and works in construction while I am a full-time stay-at-home mom.

I decided to start this blog in the hopes of connecting with other moms while also providing a resource for them to turn to when they need another opinion. Because as they say, “it takes a village to raise children”. I also wanted to use it as a personal creative outlet. Writing has always been an important part of my life that I’ve used to help me process and cope with the things going on in my life. So why not share it all publicly?

I hope that in sharing my experiences, I can somehow reach other moms going through the same things. So, if you are reading this, welcome to my inner circle! You are now a friend of mine. And I already love and support you in your own parenting journey. I hope that you find inspiration in my words. It may not be very Pinterest-worthy material, but it is a REAL space to connect and share together the crazy, beautiful experiences of life, parenting, and everything that falls in between.

Blog Name “Plain and fancy girl”
Bio I am a writer/blogger who grew up Mennonite in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania with a career as an educator spanning several decades. In 2018, I retired from teaching English composition and literature at Florida State College in Jacksonville. Along with my work as a community activist leading a neighborhood to take on Walmart expansion, I have been blogging about my Mennonite life and other topics that strike my fancy since 2013.
In 2014 I contributed to My Gutsy Story Anthology, Volume 2 with my article “Gutsy in Ukraine.” The September 2016 issue of The Mennonite magazine featured my article entitled: Making Love Edible: Lessons from Fannie Martin Longenecker. I am currently at work on a patient profile for the Jacksonville Arts & Antiques magazine. Fitness training and Pilates classes at the gym relieve the neck and shoulder aches from hours on the computer.
My major work in progress is a memoir set in the Lancaster County, Pennsylvania landscape of my Mennonite childhood. I hope for a Mother’s Day 2019 publication date, fingers-crossed!

Bio: My name is Shelley and I’m a self-proclaimed learning-as-I-go(grow)-blogger-and-photographer from a quaint little town in the Midwest.
I click away on keys of my keyboard early in the mornings while I sip coffee. Or I grab my camera to capture shots of random things I find interesting.
Both activities lead me on adventures to learn more.
Even as a 50-something-baby-of-the-baby-boomers, it IS possible to keep on learning. Learning isn’t just for kids, it’s for all of us who are kids at heart.
I blog about my adventures on most days, as a creative therapeutic escape, but occasionally I take a day or two off. My blog is where I focus on reviving everyday quaintness in my empty-nester life as a Dubious MinimalistTM.
One last thought about me…In case you didn’t notice my profile picture (flashing on the main page of my blog), I dared to let go of the hair coloring routine. 14 years was enough. Yikes, yeah, I did that!
In the process, I revived my authentic and sometimes impatient self. I share both sides of me here with you. I sprinkle in doses of sentimental tears of joy when the empty nest tissue moment calls for it.

Retiring after thirty-two years as a K-12 visual arts teacher, Terri Gardner now devotes time to a long and early interest: fashion. With her blog, MeadowTree Style, Terri advocates for developing a personal and creative style. She encourages finding fashion in ethical ways such as shopping at consignment/thrift shops, creating it yourself, as well as supporting local designers.

Her interests dating from childhood led to her sense of fashion, doing, and living. These interests include sewing, spinning yarn, knitting, design, and giving space for animals. She lives on a small Missouri farm with her husband, a large garden, and several animals including chickens and ducks, dogs and cats, and Shetland sheep and Alpacas. Bio I am the mum of three boys all now grown and flown to live their own lives. Luckily they do keep in touch and visit often. I now have two beautiful grandsons. When I started this blog I had not long come home from the hospital after an accident in which I broke my back. ( I have broken my back twice). I was in the hospital for a month and had three operations. It has taken me a long time to recover, I am still recovering but every day my body is getting stronger. It has taken a huge toll on me mentally I had to retire early on health grounds, I had to come to terms with finding out people I thought were friends were not. I had to make a new life for myself. Things I could do easily have become difficult.  Writing poetry and prose has helped me a great deal, in fact, I think it has saved my life.  I love blogging I have made so many good friends. I have attended three of the four Annual Bloggers Bashes and I am looking forward to the next one in June 2019

  5. Bloggers Name: Jordan Valero

Big love for Jesus, family, friends, tea, cocktails, veggies, wine and coffee. I believes that shopping, landscaping, cooking, and crafting are great, but traveling, learning, and sharing new experiences are what make me come alive. Blog Name: Quaint Revival

  12. Hello! My name is Dominique. In my every day life, I’m a French scientific journalist from Quebec, Canada. For the blog, I mostly write (both in English and French) about sustainable clothing, friendship and creativity. I started blogging three years ago simply for fun. At 49, I felt I needed a new challenge in my life. I wanted to give myself a gift for my fiftieth birthday, which was to gather in one project my passions: science, nature, writing and fashion. Hence my blog! It gives me a creative outlet to bring knowledge and facts about clothing and brands as well as styling tips. I was partly raised by my grandmother from my father’s side. Growing up during the first war she had learned to recycle everything. In my youth I admit she was driving me nuts but later in my life it had an impact on my consumption of things.

Having only started blogging recently, I found my drive to blog at first to keep customers up to date on my featured items but found that it was a great place to keep people in the loop about my every day life, updates on my very medically complex son, and feature my business. While my son has been in and out of the ICU and currently out of state in a pediatric rehab, I found that putting my focus into my business and blogging about day to day life helpful when stress and worry take over. The more I blog the more I have discovered a platform for spreading awareness and helping others.

  30. Hi Esme, my details are as follows :

    Bloggers Name – Anindya Rakshit
    Blog Name – https://mydailyjournalonline.com/
Bio – I hail from from a beautiful city called Calcutta in the eastern part of India. Born in the late 70’s.

An Ex Banker, currently dabbling in the Insurance sector, here are few things I love to do apart from blogging. I love everything connected with music excluding performing myself, though I can sing a fair bit, love watching movies, avid reader of books, love making new friends, love playing Table Tennis which is my favorite sport I do, and also I love travelling to mountains and seaside. My blog name is Mydailyjournalonline. Initially in my blogging journey, I had started a music blog with specific name containing Music in it. Later I realized that it is becoming difficult for me to write on varied topics that I want to write about, being it a music blog in particular. That’s why I decided to rename the blog and shift it to self hosting, since I wanted the blog to be my daily journal where I can write on virtually anything that comes to my mind without any restrictions.

My blog is very personal in nature. It doesn’t follow any set or laid down guidelines or principles. I write in a communicative mode to my readers, using suitable images from time to time, illustrations too. My style is simple, easy to follow and understand, so you may say 😊

It’s my first novel and I’m very very very slow. I’m enjoying it so much though. I really enjoy checking in with Esme’s group, SIPB, although I don’t always have time to interact as much as I’d like. Trying to get the balance right!

    Bloggers Name: Debra Purdy Kong
    Blog Name: Mystery Deb, https://debrapurdykong.wordpress.com/
    Bio:
I’ve been writing for over 35 years, beginning with short fiction, essays, and the occasional article. By the second decade of writing, I was working on my first couple of mystery novels, and have published nine so far, both through self-publishing and traditional publishing. Learning the business side of publishing and marketing a novel, prompted me to start blogging about ten years ago first at blogspot, then on my website, and now I use WordPress. I’m also an avid reader and book reviewer. I have a couple of part-time jobs, so life is busy. My kids are grown, and these days I’m spending more time with my mother whose health is slowly failing. I live in Port Moody, British Columbia (about 30 minutes east of Vancouver).
