Sureka’s Banana almond cake with chocolate fudge icing

1 cup mashed Ripe Banana
1 cup Flour
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/4 cup oil
2 tablespoons diced almonds
2 tablespoons flaked almonds
For Icing;
1/2 cup chocolate chopped
1/4 cup margarine
1 cup icing sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line a square baking pan with parchment paper and grease well.
Take flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder in a bowl and mix well.
In another bowl take diced almonds sugar, oil, vanilla, mashed banana, water and mix well.
Pour this into the dry ingredients and fold gently to combine.
Now spoon this mixture in to the prepared pan and bake for 15 to 20 mins untill a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Remove from oven and set aside.

Take chocolate and margarine or butter in a sauce pan and melt on low heat till melted. Set aside.
Take icing sugar and cocoa powder in a bowl and mix well. Pour this chocolate mix in it and mix well.
Add in vanilla and mix well. Now pour this over the cake and sprinkle with flaked almonds. Place cake in the fridge to set for approximately half an hour
