6 cups of rice washed
Salt to taste
4 tablespoons chilli powder
6 green chilli
2 cups of parboiled lentils
Veggies of your choice I used:
Green beans
Carrots
Double, beans
Gadra
1 bunch mint
1/2 bunch thyme
3 tablespoons butter ghee
6 potatoes peeled and quartered
3 tomatoes grated
In a large pot:
Add as follows:
Onion
3 each cinnamon sticks bay leaves aniseed black elaichi
Tomatoes
Mint
Chilli
Salt
Rice
Potatoes
Veggies
Chilli powder
Lentils
6 cups of boiling,water
Place pot on the stove on medium heat.
Cover pot and cook for approximately 45minutes.
Add butter and ghee and lower heat cook until all liquid as dried up.
Garnish with thyme.
