2kgs chicken, cut cleaned and washed
2 teaspoons of ginger and garlic
3 green chilli
Salt to taste
2 teaspoons chilli powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon jeera powder
1 tablespoon curry powder
2 large potatoes peeled washed and quartered
1 large onion sliced
2 tomatoes diced
2 each cinnamon sticks bay leaves and aniseed
Heat a tablespoon of oil with a tablespoon of butter ghee
Add onion and whole spices.
Fry until onion is nicely browned
Add chicken spices, tomatoes, potatoes, salt, ginger and.garlic.
Stir to coat chicken evenly with spices.
Lower heat and cook until done
Approximately 40minutes, adding a tablespoon of water if necessary to prevent sticking
