2kgs mutton
1 large onion sliced
2 tomatoes diced
2 teaspoon ginger and garlic
1 teaspoon tumeric powder
1 teaspoon dhania powder
1 teaspoon jeera powder
2 teaspoons chilli powder
2 tablespoons masala
salt to taste
Fry onion in two tablespoons of oil
Add 2 bay leaves and 2 cinnamon sticks when onion nicely browned
Add meat, spices, tomatoes and salt.
Coat meat with spices, lowet heat and cook on medium until liquid dries up.
Add a cup of water and cook on medium heat until meat is tender
Add more water as necessary then add two cups of parboiled lentils and cook for a further 15 minutes.
