1kg of lamb cut washed and kept aside
Extract two tablespoons of tamarind juice from pulp
Salt to taste
2 green chilli
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon ginger and garlic
1 teaspoon coriander powder
2teaspoons chilli powder
1 heaped tablespoon of curry powder
1 onion sliced
2 tomatoes diced
2 large potatoes peeled and quartered
Heat two tablespoons of oil.
Add onion together with two each cinnamon sticks and bay leaves.
When onion has browned add meat spices salt tomatoes ginger and garlic and tamarind.
Cover and cook on medium heat for twenty minutes then add the potatoes and cook until potatoes are done adding two to three tablespoons of water if necessary
