500g fresh Fish (I used red fish)
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp garum masala
1 tsp jeera powder
1 tsp dhania powder
1 tsp tumeric powder
1 tsp ground ginger and garlic
1 tbl spoon olive oil
Marinate the fish with the above spices and oil for an hour or more
Lightly fry fish in oil
10 small to medium tomatoes
1 large onion
3 green chillies
Oil (I used the same oil I fried the fish in)
Fry onions in oil, add tomatoes and green chillies and salt.
Allow chutney to cook till almost done, then add fried fish and all to cook till chutney is full cooked. After you turn off gas, add a sprinkle of originum and curry leaves.
Prepared, tried and tested by:  Thilleshni Govender

  1. How many days will this chutney stay without spoiling.

    • Bhargavi, thank you for visiting my blog. I will ask Thilleshni and get back to you as soon as I hear from her.

    • Hi my dear, I just received the below response on your question:
Thilleshni said: Hi this type of chutney will keep for about 5 days in the fridge but I find after 3 days its a bit stale. This is a very curry like chutney and has no preservatives
