Description

Baked fish with a crust that’s as easy as it is delicious. Discover the simple trick to taking fish from ‘meh’ to ‘wow.’

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh spinach (skip it if you don’t have any—it’s still great without!)
  • 4 filets of your favorite fish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon, sliced into wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). While it heats up, get everything prepped.
  2. In one bowl, mix up your butter, mustard, and honey.
  3. In another, toss the bread crumbs and spinach together.
  4. Season your fish.
  5. A little salt, a little pepper, just enough to make it tasty.
  6. If you have dried dill, sprinkle a pinch. It’s a small thing that makes a big difference.
  7. Coat each filet with your honey-mustard sauce, and top it off with the crumb mixture.
  8. This combo is the secret sauce, literally.
  9. Pop it into the oven for about 15 minutes.
  10. You’ll know it’s done when the fish flakes like a dream with a fork.
  11. Squeeze a lemon wedge over the top, and dinner is ready!
