Description
The onion is always cooked to perfection, with a nice crunchy outer layer and a soft and flavorful center. The accompanying sauce is also great, adding a little extra flavor to the dish.

Wet Mix
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 Eggs
Dry Mix
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Dried Thyme
- 1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1 Large Onion
- 1 cup Vegetable Oil for frying
Instructions
- Whisk egg and milk together in a wide deep bowl (to fully submerge the onion).
- Mix the flour and all the spices together in a separate deep wide bowl.
- Peel the onion and place the flat side down on a cutting board (root side up).
- Make 8 slices downwards then turn over and gently spread out the petals.
- Place the onion in the flour mixture, spread the petals, and coat evenly.
- Then submerge the onion into the egg mixture and then back into the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep pan. Cook the onion root side up for about 8-9
