Cake Batter

  • 1 cup of cake flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • A crack of sea salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup hot coffee (mix coffee with boiling water just before adding to the cake batter)

Instructions

Cake

  1. Whisk together the dry ingredients
  2. Form a well in the center.
  3. Add the eggs and fold them closed.
  4. Add the oil and hot coffee and whisk well to combine.
  5. Pour into a greased microwave bowl and cook on high for 7 minutes.
  6. Once cooking time is up, leave it in the microwave for a minute or 2 before removing it.
  7. Flip onto a serving plate and decorate as desired.

Frosting

  1. Combine all ingredients until smooth and thick.
  2. Adjust the thickness as desired with milk or cream.
