- 5–6 Apples
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/2 Cup Sugar/ Sugar Alternative
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Allspice
- Puff Pastry (store-bought)
- 1 Egg (beaten for brushing)
Drizzle
- 2–3 Tablespoons Cream Cheese
- 1 Teaspoon Sugar/Sugar Alternative
Instructions
- Peel, core, and dice apples.
- Melt butter in a pan and add apples.
- Allow it to cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add in sugar and spices and cook until the apples are tender.
- Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut it into 4 squares.
- Place a spoonful of mixture on one half of the square and fold over into a triangular shape.
- Seal edges with egg and crimp it with a fork.
- Brush tops with egg, place on a baking sheet, and bake at 180C/350F for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Mix cream cheese and sugar.
- Drizzle over cooled turnovers and enjoy!!
