Ingredients

  • 3 cups (approximately) 1 punnet of oyster mushrooms
  • Fine breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp Cornflour (Maizena)
  • Cold water
  • Salt & pepper


Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, Cornflour, seasoning, and just enough cold water to make a smooth batter. No lumps allowed!
  2. Dip those mushrooms in. Shake off the extra batter like you mean it.
  3. Coat them in breadcrumbs, press gently so they stick like glue.
  4. Fry in hot oil until they’re gloriously golden and crispy.
