Scale
- 570g white bread dough (store-bought)
- 60-90g Marmite (1/2-3/4 of a 125g bottle, depending on taste)
- Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded, as much as you like
- Oil or cooking spray, for muffin pan
- 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spray or wipe the insides of a 12-well muffin pan with oil. Don’t be shy, get it nice and coated.
- Pinch off 3 smallish balls of your 570g white bread dough and place them in the bottom of each well. They don’t need to be perfect.
- Microwave 60–90g Marmite for about 10 seconds to loosen it up.
- Grab a brush, dip it in Marmite, and spread a thin layer over the bottom dough balls. A little messiness is fine; it’ll taste amazing.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of sharp, shredded cheese over the Marmite. Go wild, it’s all about that gooey goodness.
- Pinch another 2–3 balls of dough and layer them over the cheese. Use up all your dough; it’s going to puff up nicely.
- Brush the tops with extra Marmite or an egg wash if you want a shiny golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, until the buns are golden and smelling like heaven.
- Let them cool for a few minutes in the pan, then pull them apart and enjoy them warm.
