Description

Golden chicken bites with a secret crispy coating that stays crunchy. Quick to make and impossible to resist. Turn ordinary chicken into Crispy KFC-Style Chicken Pops in just 30 minutes.

Chicken & Marinade

  • 500 g chicken fillets, cut into small cubes
  • 5 ml Aromat
  • 5 ml paprika
  • 5 ml Gorima’s Kentucky spice (or any fried chicken seasoning mix)
  • 5 ml onion powder
  • 5 ml garlic powder
  • 5 ml white pepper
  • 5 ml Himalayan pink salt

Flour Coating

  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 1/2 cup Maizena (Cornflour)
  • 5 ml onion powder
  • 5 ml Kentucky spice (or preferred chicken seasoning)

Dip (Optional)


Instructions

  1. Cut 500 g chicken fillets into bite-sized cubes. 
  2. Toss the chicken in 5 ml Aromat, 5 ml paprika, 5 ml Gorima’s Kentucky spice, 5 ml onion powder, 5 ml garlic powder, 5 ml white pepper, and 5 ml Himalayan pink salt. Ensure every piece is coated well.
  3. Cover the seasoned chicken and marinate it in the fridge for about 1 hour. If you can let it sit longer, even better, the flavor gets deeper.
  4. While the chicken marinates, mix 2 cups of cake flour, ½ cup Maizena, 5 ml onion powder, and 5 ml Kentucky spice in a shallow dish.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to around 170 °C.
  6. You can test with a tiny piece of bread; it should sizzle immediately.
  7. Coat each chicken cube in the seasoned flour, making sure it’s fully covered. Shake off excess.
  8. Fry chicken cubes in batches so they cook evenly, about 5–7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Don’t crowd the pan!
  9. Drain on paper towels to remove extra oil.
  10. Serve with Greek yogurt mixed with sweet chili sauce.
  11. You can also add a squeeze of lemon if you’re feeling fancy.
