- 1–1 1/2 cups Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs (Gluten Free)
- Spices as per your preference
- 2 eggs
- Oil to cover your baking pan / can also use butter if you prefer
- 4 pieces White fish like cod, halibut, or tilapia work exceptionally well
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 430°F (220°C).
- Place a large enough dark (i.e., black, or dark grey) roasting pan OR baking sheet in the oven.
- Ensure that the pan you use to bake the fish in is hot and makes a sizzling sound when you place the fish down.
- Mix the panko breadcrumbs and whatever spices you wish to add to a shallow dish.
- Add eggs to another bowl and beat it well with a fork.
- Dip fish (White fish like cod, halibut, or tilapia work exceptionally well) into breading to lightly coat.
- Next coat the crumbed fish with egg.
- Lastly, again coat the fish with breadcrumbs and make sure that you pack on as much as possible and pat it down to ensure that it will stick to the fish.
- If you use butter, now is the time to melt the butter, or you can just add oil to the pan.
- Remove the pan from the oven and place the fish pieces in the pan but be sure to have some oil/butter where you place it.
- Bake the fish for ±10 minutes.
