Description
Crispy Fish and Chips with onion rings served with a side of tartar sauce taste so good and are loved by the entire family.
Ingredients

- 1 cup Flour
- 1 tsp. Paprika
- 1 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1 tsp. Oregano
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- Soda Water
- Oil for deep frying
Tartar Sauce
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/2 onion (finely diced)
- 2-3 Pickles (finely diced)
- 1 tsp. Lemon Juice
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. Capers (optional)
- 1 tsp. Dijon Mustard
Instructions
Batter
- To the dry ingredients, gently pour in the soda water and whisk till a smooth thick batter forms.
- The batter should be thick enough to coat the fish and not run off.
- Dip the fillets into the batter and deep fry on medium heat turning once till golden brown.
Tartar Sauce
- To the mayonnaise add the chopped onion and pickles.
- Add the seasoning and lemon juice and mix well.
- Top with capers and enjoy!!
Onion Rings
- Onion rings are coated in the same batter as fish.
