Units Scale
  • 250 g softened butter
  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • 3 heaped tablespoons of cocoa
  • 1 tsp strong coffee granules
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup oats
  • ± 1 cup Chocolate morsels for sandwiching them together


  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add flour, coconut, coffee, and cocoa and mix.
  3. Add boiling water and mix well into the butter mixture.
  4. Add 1 cup of oats and combine well.
  5. If the dough is soft, leave it in the fridge to settle and firm up.
  6. Roll small bits of the dough into balls and press with a fork to flatten and design.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for ±15 minutes.
  8. Once all the biscuits are baked, place all into 1 oven tray, switch the oven off, and leave them in the hot oven to dry out until the oven is cool.
  9. Cool the biscuits completely before dipping them in chocolate.
  10. Sandwich together or dip and decorate as desired.
