Description

Easy Frosting Recipe Everyone Loves. Simple ingredients, bakery taste. No store-bought tubs needed!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the butter (½ cup) and cream cheese (8 ounces) together with a hand mixer until smooth and fluffy; about 2–3 minutes.
  2. Slowly add the confectioners’ sugar (4 cups), one cup at a time, beating well between each addition to keep it light.
  3. Mix in vanilla extract (2 teaspoons) until the frosting is silky and thick.
  4. If it feels too stiff, add a splash of milk. Too soft? Pop it in the fridge for 10–15 minutes.
  5. Spread it over your cake or cupcakes once completely cooled.
