Classic Lasagna Recipe with Sage Tarragon and Tomato

Description

This easy homemade lasagna recipe uses fresh herbs like sage and tarragon for a flavorful, comforting dinner. Perfect for any night.


Ingredients

I don’t use exact measurements; I eyeball it. Here’s how I make a tasty lasagna with simple ingredients.
  • Chopped onion
  • Crushed garlic
  • Grated ginger
  • Ground minced meat (around 3/4 kg)
  • Sage
  • Tarragon
  • Curry powder (optional)
  • Tomato paste
  • Pasta sheets
  • Cheese
  • Cream (optional)
  • Egg

Instructions

  1. In a pan, sauté plenty of chopped onions with crushed garlic and grated ginger until soft and fragrant.
  2. In another pan, cook the minced meat. Stir it until all the water from defrosting is gone.
  3. Add the sautéed onions to the meat. Mix well. Sprinkle about a teaspoon each of sage and tarragon. Add curry if you like. Stir in some tomato paste.
  4. In a casserole dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce evenly.
  5. Add a layer of pasta sheets on top. Sprinkle cheese and add a little cream if you want.
  6. Repeat layers of meat sauce and pasta, finishing with a top layer of cheese, cream, or beaten egg for a nice glaze.
  7. Bake in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 35 minutes.
  8. Serve and enjoy your homemade lasagna!
