- 2 1/2 cups Flour
- 2 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1/4 Teaspoon Instant Yeast
- 2/3 cups Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Water
- Semolina (for dusting)
Instructions
- Heat the water, milk, and butter till lukewarm.
- Combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix till it forms a dough.
- It will be sticky so turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and bring it together until it is smooth and soft.
- Place in a lightly oiled bowl and cover.
- Allow it to rise for an hour.
- Roll out the dough (about 3cm in height) and cut it into circles.
- Place on a baking pan sheet that is lightly dusted with semolina.
- Cover and allow it to rise further for 15 minutes.
- Heat a dry nonstick pan to medium heat, and cook the muffins on either side for 3-5 minutes until puffy and browned.
- Allow cooling.
- Slice in half, add your fillings, and enjoy!!
