Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 45 Apples (peeled, cored & thinly sliced)
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • Puff Pastry (store-bought)
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar +
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Stir in the apples.
  3. Melt butter in a pan, add in the spiced apples, and cook until softened.
  4. Once softened, remove from heat, and allow to cool completely.
  5. Roll out puff pastry, and fill with apple mixture.
  6. Seal the edges with water and crimp tightly to seal.
  7. Cut a few slits on the top to release the steam while baking, brush with egg or milk, sprinkle on cinnamon sugar and bake at 180C / 350F  for 20-25 minutes.
