Description

Rochelle made these “3D” Punjabi samoosas and it was a hit from the filling to the jeera spiced pastry.


Ingredients

Pastry

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Jeera (cumin) Seeds
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 cup Water (use as needed)
  • 2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil

Filling


Instructions

Pastry

  1. Add the oil to the dry ingredients and rub to resemble fine sand.
  2. Pour in the water gradually and mix.
  3. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead to form a dough.
  4. Cover with a damp tea towel and allow to rest for about 20-30 minutes.

Filling

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water till fork tender, drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add in all the spices, and heat through.
  3. Add in the potatoes and peas and mix gently to coat the spices.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  5. Once cool, add in the coriander, fill, and enjoy!!
