Description

One-pot Kid-friendly Chili Con Carne that wins dinner every time

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can of tomato paste
  • 1 can of tomato soup
  • 2 cans of small red kidney beans, drained
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a big pot and cook the onions until soft.
  2. Toss in the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain the extra fat.
  3. Stir in the tomato soup, tomato paste, a splash of water (just enough to rinse out the cans), and chili powder.
  4. Add the beans, mix everything up, and bring it to a boil.
  5. Once it’s bubbling, turn the heat down, cover it, and let it simmer for about an hour. Stir now and then.

Pro tip:

  1. Scoop it up with tortilla chips. You won’t regret it.
