One-pot Kid-friendly Chili Con Carne that wins dinner every time

- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 can of tomato paste
- 1 can of tomato soup
- 2 cans of small red kidney beans, drained
- 2 tablespoons chili powder (or to taste)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a big pot and cook the onions until soft.
- Toss in the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain the extra fat.
- Stir in the tomato soup, tomato paste, a splash of water (just enough to rinse out the cans), and chili powder.
- Add the beans, mix everything up, and bring it to a boil.
- Once it’s bubbling, turn the heat down, cover it, and let it simmer for about an hour. Stir now and then.
Pro tip:
- Scoop it up with tortilla chips. You won’t regret it.
