Description
Weekend request from my children for kebab chutney & roti. Treat them to this awesome meal and you will have happy children at home.
Ingredients

- 300g Ground Meat (your choice)
- 1 tbsp. paprika/masala
- 1 tbsp. ginger & garlic
- 1 tbsp. dried thyme
- 1 tbsp. garam masala
- 1 onion (grated)
- Chopped dhania
- Salt to taste
- Oil
Roti
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tbsp. butter
- Rapidly boiling water
- Butter for brushing (melted)
- Flour for dusting
Chutney
- 12 ripe tomatoes (peeled & chopped)
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- 5/6 green chilies
- Oil
- Salt to taste
- 1 Tbsp. Masala (your heat level)
- Chopped Dhania/Parsley (garnish)
Instructions
Kebab
- Cook the onion in the paprika/masala till soft.
- Let it cool.
- To the meat, add all the spices, onion, and dhania.
- Mix thoroughly. Form into balls and fry till fully cooked.
Roti
- In a bowl, add the flour and salt.
- Rub in the butter.
- Pour in the boiling water and mix well to form a soft dough.
- Turn over onto floured counter and knead till the dough is smooth and pliable.
- Break of (golf ball-sized) pieces of dough.
- Flatten and dip in flour.
- Roll out into circles on a lightly floured surface.
- Toast in a non-stick pan/Tawa.
- When brown spots appear on the bottom, flip over and brush with butter, repeat on either side.
- Keep covered to remain soft.
- Serve and enjoy!!
Chutney
- Heat the oil.
- Add onion to fry till soft (no colour).
- Add the green chillies and masala.
- Allow frying for a few minutes until the masala is cooked out.
- Drop in the tomatoes and mix well.
- Add salt and leave to cook till tomatoes have broken down and are soft and thick.
- Then place the kebabs into the chutney and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Once fully cooked, garnish with dhania/parsley.
