Description

Grilled Peri-Peri Prawns with Garlic, Lemon, and Creamy Sauce. Juicy grilled prawns marinated in garlic, chili, and lemon, finished with a creamy peri-peri drizzle. Bold flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box Queen prawns (Cape Point brand works great)

For the Marinade:

  • 3 tbsp garlic and ginger paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tsp Aromat seasoning
  • 1 tbsp peri-peri powder
  • 2 red chillies, finely chopped (add more for extra heat)
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • A drizzle of olive oil
  • Juice of 2 lemons

Instructions

  1. Toss the prawns with all the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours. Turn them every so often to coat evenly.
  3. Preheat your oven to the highest grill setting.
  4. Arrange the prawns in a single layer and grill for about 10 minutes, or until they start to pull away from the shells and char slightly.
  5. For a quick sauce, warm up your favorite Nando’s peri-peri sauce with ΒΌ cup of fresh cream. Serve on the side or drizzled over the prawns.
  6. Add lemon wedges and serve hot.
  7. These are spicy, messy, and absolutely worth it.
