For the fish:
Fish in Vinegar Batter
Lemon sauce:
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp (7.5 ml) Cornflour (Maizena)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp Nando’s sauce (for heat, optional)
- 1/2 tsp Aromat or seasoned salt
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) fresh cream
- Fresh parsley or coriander for garnish

For the Fish: Fish in Vinegar Batter
Lemon sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice, Cornflour, water, Nando’s sauce, and Aromat until smooth.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Pour in the lemon mixture, whisking constantly until it thickens.
- Stir in the cream and bring just to a gentle boil. Remove from heat.
- Pour the warm sauce over the crispy battered fish.
- Garnish with parsley or coriander.
