Description
Spiced Indian Buttermilk brings a light, salty, and refreshing twist using simple ingredients. It’s quick to make and surprisingly satisfying.

- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup toned milk (or any milk you’ve got)
- A pinch of roasted cumin powder
- 1 tsp mint paste (Start with 1/2 tsp if your mint is strong)
- A pinch of pink Himalayan salt
- A few ice cubes
- Optional garnish: fresh coriander leaves, pomegranate seeds
Instructions
- Add 1/2 cup plain yogurt and 1/2 cup toned milk into a blender.
- Sprinkle in a pinch of roasted cumin powder and a pinch of pink Himalayan salt.
- Add 1 tsp mint paste and a few ice cubes.
- Blend until smooth and lightly frothy.
- If it feels too thick, add a splash more milk and blend again.
- Taste and adjust salt if needed; it can fall flat without enough.
- Pour into a glass, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and a few pomegranate seeds if you like.
- Serve straight away while it’s cold.
