Description
Tender apples in a crisp pastry baked with maple sugar and Sprite. Maple Sprite Apple Wraps are an easy family favorite

- 2 Granny Smith apples
- 2 cans crescent rolls
- 200g margarine
- 1 cup maple sugar (or brown sugar)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Cinnamon, to sprinkle
- 1 can Sprite
- 2 handfuls crushed pecan nuts (optional, but preferable for a beautiful crunch)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Peel, core, and slice the 2 Granny Smith apples into 8 wedges each.
- Roll each apple slice into a triangle of crescent roll dough, pinching the ends slightly.
- Place all 16 rolls snugly into a lightly buttered 9×13″ glass baking dish.
- Melt 200g margarine, then whisk in 1 cup maple sugar just until combined.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla and pour evenly over the apple wraps.
- Carefully pour 1 can of Sprite around the edges of the dish.
- Dust with cinnamon and scatter 2 handfuls of crushed pecans if desired.
- Bake for about 40 minutes until golden and bubbling.
