Scale
- 1 rack baby back ribs, halved
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Set your oven to 275Β°F.
- Line a baking sheet with foil.
- If your rack of baby back ribs feels a bit wet, pat it dry so the rub sticks better.
- In a small bowl, mix the 2 teaspoons of cumin, 2 teaspoons of chili powder, 1 teaspoon pepper, 2 teaspoons garlic powder, 2 teaspoons salt, and 2 teaspoons paprika.
- Sprinkle this mix evenly over both halves of the ribs and rub it in well.
- Wrap the ribs completely with foil so the steam will stay inside, and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 2 hours until the ribs feel tender when you bend them slightly.
- Raise the oven temp to 500Β°F. Carefully unwrap the foil so you donβt get hit with hot steam.
- Transfer the ribs back onto the baking sheet and brush the tops with the 1 cup of BBQ sauce.
- Bake for 10 minutes to get the sauce bubbling and caramelized.
- Let the ribs rest for at least 10 minutes so the juices settle.
- Slice between the bones and serve warm.
