- 1/2 cup gluten-free flour (feel free to use regular flour if you’re OK with gluten)
- 1 tsp (heaped) garlic powder
- 1 tsp (heaped) onion powder
- 1 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coarse white sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cashew milk
Sauce Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp (heaped) garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml) sea salt
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
Instructions
Prep the Cauliflower
- Get your oven ready! Line a baking tray with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 230°C (450°F).
- Wash and clean the cauliflower until it’s fresh and ready.
- Cut it up into bite-sized pieces and pop them into a big bowl.
Make the Batter
- In another bowl, mix flour with all your favorite seasonings until they’re combined.
- Add in some milk and stir it up to make a nice, thick batter.
- Pour the batter over the cauliflower and give it a good mix so every piece is completely coated.
Bake the Cauliflower Wings
- Place each coated cauliflower piece on the lined baking tray in a single layer, giving them space to cook evenly.
- The space between each piece helps them get crispier, so keep them separate!
- Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway (after 10 minutes) so both sides get golden and crispy.
Make the Sauce
While the cauliflower is baking, it’s sauce time!
- Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and whisk them together.
- Simmer over medium heat for about 3–5 minutes until it’s thick and ready to go.
Coat and Bake Again
- When the cauliflower is done baking, take it out and coat each piece in sauce. Use a kitchen brush or silicone brush to slather each piece generously.
- Put the tray back in the oven for another 10–15 minutes.
- Flip the pieces halfway (around 5–7 minutes in) so they get perfectly saucy and cooked through.
Ranch Dipping Sauce
Serve with your favorite ranch sauce! You can make your own or pick up a store-bought one, either way, it’ll be delicious!
