Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350F/175C.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork and place them in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the egg, oil, milk, sugar, salt, baking soda, and baking powder to the bananas. Mix well.
  4. Add the flour to the banana mixture and mix until moistened.
  5. Add nuts, if using, and mix well.
  6. Pour into a 4″ x 8″ prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the loaf comes out clean.
  8. Cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes before removing from the pan.
  9. Cool completely before storing.
  10. This banana bread is moist and not overly sweet. I only had two bananas, so I added about 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce.
