Description

Scones, a delicious favorite in our home and then to top it off, so quick to prepare and have ready for the family for teatime.

Instructions

  1. Mix egg and milk together and in a separate bowl, sift flour and baking powder.
  2. Add salt and rub in the butter.
  3. Add sugar, then mix lightly.
  4. Gradually add the milk and egg mixture and mix gently, do not over mix
  5. Once the dough comes together, place it on a floured surface, and flatten till about 2 cm.
  6. Cut into scone shapes.
  7. Brush with egg.
  8. Bake at 200 C / 400F for 20 minutes.
  9. Serve with cream and grenadilla or any other topping of your choice. So many options and absolutely delicious toppings to try it.
