Description
Scones, a delicious favorite in our home and then to top it off, so quick to prepare and have ready for the family for teatime.

- 2 1/2 cup flour or self-raising flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 egg
- 180 ml milk or sour milk
Instructions
- Mix egg and milk together and in a separate bowl, sift flour and baking powder.
- Add salt and rub in the butter.
- Add sugar, then mix lightly.
- Gradually add the milk and egg mixture and mix gently, do not over mix
- Once the dough comes together, place it on a floured surface, and flatten till about 2 cm.
- Cut into scone shapes.
- Brush with egg.
- Bake at 200 C / 400F for 20 minutes.
- Serve with cream and grenadilla or any other topping of your choice. So many options and absolutely delicious toppings to try it.
