- 450g flour (All-Purpose or Bread Flour)
- 10ml instant yeast
- 10ml kosher salt
- 5ml of brown sugar (optional)
- 375ml very warm (not boiling) water
Instructions
- Mix everything, cover with plastic, and let rise for about 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 450F/230C, with a Dutch oven pot inside.
- Liberally sprinkle more flour onto a work surface, spoon the (very wet) dough onto that, and dust with more flour.
- Fold over about 5–6 times.
- Dust a piece of baking parchment with more flour and drop the dough on the parchment paper, fold side down.
- Once the oven is to temperature, carefully place the parchment paper with dough into the Dutch oven pot, cover with the lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 12–14 minutes until golden brown.
